ARE YOU AN ERIE CANAL FAN? Then you’ll want to check this out. Come to Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 85 Elm Ave, Delmar on Thursday October 12. We will have Lunch at 12:00 noon in the Fellowship Hall. Bring your own Lunch and enjoy fellowship with friends old and new. Beverages provided.  At 1:00, we will move to the Lounge to Learn more interesting history about the Erie Canal than you ever did in school!

As our speaker, we are honored to have Brad Utter, Senior Historian/Curator, Science and Technological History at the New York State Museum. His topic will be “Enterprising Waters – the History and Art of New York’s Erie Canal”. Based on his knowledge and research on how the Erie Canal impacted the development of upstate New York, Mr. Utter co-authored the book of the same title, and he also served as curator of the Museum’s exhibit with that theme.
