This course will review the development of Lutheranism and how Lutheran Churches are similar to and different from other Christian churches. Using the Bible, Luther’s Small Catechism, and the Augsburg Confession, we will study the Lutheran perspective on the nature of God, Jesus, sin and forgiveness, Law and Gospel, Baptism and the Lord’s Supper, the holy ministry and the Church, and other topics.
